2003 Syrah from Napa Valley

Price: $15.00

Winemaker Notes

Gently de-stemmed without crushing to closed and open-top fermenters, with fermentation lasting 7-10 days at a peak temperature of 80º F. Malolactic fermentation took place in the barrels.

Nearly opaque crimson ruby-purple color. Classic Syrah black berry, black pepper and licorice aromas clearly mark this wine’s fruit intensity. A lovely scent of sweet-vanilla oak adds a grace note. Medium-full bodied, with rich black raspberry and licorice flavors marked by sweet oak and a touch of dark chocolate echo the aromas. Fine soft tannins and moderate acidity add some structure and give definition to the finish.
