2003 Petite Sirah "Heritage Clones" from San Francisco Bay Area

Deep, black ink color with magenta hues. Aromas of black cherries, wonderful violets, oak spice, mocha and plum. Surprisingly, each is distinct without thinking about it. Appearances are deceiving. It looks like its going to chew you down with a magnificent weight but upon entry, this wine opens with layers of black fruit and jammy red berries, luscious wild flowers hints but when you think its going to over power you, it mellow outs leaving a silky finish of juicy fruit, coffee and well integrated tannins. One of Rosenblum lesser known gems and incredible values.
