2001 Merlot "Estate" from Napa Valley

Wonderful aromas of smoked black and red cherries balanced with strong but well integrated oak, vanilla and spice. The flavors upfront are rich and powerful and offer a nice round mouth feel. The tannins are still a bit young showing a sharp edge that time will soften but offer nice jammy fruit in the finish.
