2007 Sangiovese from Alexander Valley

You can't go wrong opening this wine with pretty much anything. Bright red berries, cedar spice, rich earth and herbs throughout. Nuances of espresso, cinnamon and mocha too. The wine flavors are full and creamy with great depth and balance. Plenty of spice and tannins to pair with red sauce and meats. Juicy bramble fruits (soft hints of rose pedals even), herbs and chewy leather linger well after the sip. Really expressive and enjoyable!
