Who'd a thunk Syrah and Cab can meld so beautifully? Aromas of classic Napa Valley Cabernet with perfuming red fruits. Dusty, mocha covered cherries, nuances of earth spice, and hearty oak. The flavors start impressive then amp into luscious! Flavors loaded with red berries layered within a creamy, vanilla mouthfeel, toasty oak, herbs and earth spice. The finish is elegant with round tannins and deep, concentrated cherries, chocolate and sweet cedar notes. This blend keeps you sipping discovering more of intriguing flavor combinations. Awesome, awesome wine.

Winemaker Notes

Opens with a luscious nose. At its sweet fruit core is a bramble of raspberry and black fruits circled by Syrah\'s violet aromatic edge. As the wine develops, it presents a hint of coffee bean and smoke and an intense finish of cedar and a touch of toast. Similar to the nose, this wine offers a generous amount of ripe, sweet fruit on the palate. It\'s marked with a broad mouth-feel and voluptuous, smooth tannins that make the wine very approachable at an early age. The wine offers bright acidity, classic Larkmead mineral character and a long peppery (Syrah dominant) finish. This wine shows strong vineyard character despite the unusual variety mix. Drink now or age up to 5 years.
