2001 Pinot Noir from Hawks River Vineyard Vineyard in Russian River Valley

Price: $32.00    Review Date: 2009-05-11

Highly Recommended

VineSugar Review:

Intoxicating aromas of cola berries, red raspberries, sweet leather spice, oak smoke and loads of earthy nuances. Incredibly smooth entry with layers of dark berries, plum, rich earthiness of herbs and minerals, well rounded tannins. Exotic spices and mocha covered red cherries linger long through a juicy finish. This wine is drinking beautifully!

This wine was still in production when Fred Williams, the son of Burt Williams (Williams Selyem winery) tragically past away in '03. Burt Williams's daughter, Margi Williams-Wierenga (Brogan Cellars) helped finish the 2002 and 2003 Seven Lions wines.
