2005 Syrah from Flood Family Vineyards Vineyard in

Price: $25.00    Review Date: 2010-01-13

VineSugar Review:

Aromas of black berries, black licorice, smokey oak, mineral-rich earth, and exotic spices. Very approachable but with incredible structure and depth. Loads of big, black fruit flavors, cedar spice and ripe tannins through a very full finish. This is a big wine but one that's well balanced for boasting bright fruit with earth nuances. Simply lovely.

Winemaker Notes

This Syrah is dark and deep purple in color and shows long slow legs. The complex aromas of cedar, licorice and cola are complimented by hints of violet. The full papate is dominated with cherry, black fruits with tame toasted oak and ripe tannin. The finish is down right opulent. French oak aged for 18 months.
