2005 Pinot Noir "Costiera" from

Price: $38.00    Review Date: 2007-04-08

VineSugar Review:

Aromas of cola, bright red cherries and leathery spices. Light but still flavorful strawberries, smooth and approachable all the way through a long finish of soft earthy tannins.

Winemaker Notes

“Costiera” Pinot Noir is the first of our pinots to include grapes from outside of our Keyhole Ranch property. For many years we have grown grapes various ways at our Keyhole property to give us more depth and a wider spectrum of character. We realize the depth would be enhanced by combining outside sites with our one great site. This is leading us south and west into deeper parts of Russian River Valley. As we source fruit over the next decade from diligent growers like us, this blend will change in character. Costiera means “coastal” and represents our quest to find the best lots in the Sonoma Coast.
