VineSugar Review:

Buy this wine... in bulk! Delicious in every way. The aromas scream mocha, black licorice, blackberries, herbs and toasty oak nuances. Fabulously bold upfront with great balance throughout. Full-bodied, hearty berries, with loads of smoked meats. The finish- so sexy- fades into a warm spicebox with bright red, chocolate-covered raspberries. This wine has the depth and complexities to please red wine lovers everywhere!

Winemaker Notes

Aromas of cherry and licorice, with a faint trace of mint and oak preface a full-bodied flavor profile in this muscular blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec and syrah. Flavors of Rainier and Bing cherry anchor the blend, followed by nuances of roast beef, smoke and anise. A reserve selection of vineyard and barrel lots, the 2003 Bone Lore is a blend of cabernet and syrah from Jimmy’s Vineyard in the Templeton Gap region of Paso Robles, and malbec from DeBro Vineyard in the Adelaida Hills. All lots were aged for 28 months in new French or American barrels, then bottled unfined.
