Spicy aromas that ooze juicy berries getting your taste buds a tease. Black cherries, blueberries with hints of cinnamon, gnarly vine spice and a meaty, Italian sausage quality that makes you hungry! Loads of juicy spice flavors with an approachable mouth feel. Based on the abundance of complexities in the nose, you think its going to smack you upon entry but thankfully not. Long finish that boasts black pepper, clove, oak nuances and blackberries. Pack this when you go camping, tailgating or ordered out for the big game!

Winemaker Notes

A free-thinking American blend of zinfandel, sangiovese, barbera, and syrah, our current Renegade features aromas of raspberry, cherry, and spice, followed by flavors of black cherry, blueberry, roast beef and spicy tannins. The fruit was fermented in small open tops to retain exuberant fruit flavors, and aged in a selection of French, American and Hungarian oak, individually selected for each vineyard and vintage lot.
