Concept founder Kim Bullock, owner of 'North Road Liquor' in Albany, has a passion for the Great Southern Region and their wines. Kim created the big bottle to provide focus on the region and to showcase the stunning, premium quality varietal wines. Almost two metres high and 520mm in diameter, the 290 litre Five Virtues will fill 1935 glasses. It equates to 387 standard wine bottles, or 32,25 cases, is made of 100% continously formed glass and sealed with Portuguese cork. David Jones of 'Great Southern Packaging' based in Albany facilitated the making of the Big Bottle. The bottle was crafted in West Germany in a joint effort by LENZ Laborglas GMBH & Co KG of Wertheim, which handled the design and logistics, and QVF of Mainz, which handled the production. David was also instrumental in the procuring of the very large cork from Portugal.

  • Plus, the whole purpose of luxury brands is to not cater to just anyone. They are manufactured and designed with the utmost quality with full knowledge that as a result, their cost will be prohibitive for most people. However, if you're ok with the whole copyright thing and your heart is set on buying a replica watch; then, as the old saying goes, " Replique Montre". Just because it's relatively dirt cheap doesn't mean its bargain. You still need to exercise caution and wisdom before you buy. - by tianer Dec 22, 2011 6:31pm
